March 25-31
The theme throughout this week, the third week of Mercury’s Retrograde, will be seeing the old versus the new. We will feel a stronger distinction between these two realities. Up until this point, we have experienced an overlapping of these two worlds as we’ve negotiated what comes with us and what falls away. The image that always comes to my mind is bits of sediment and rock crumbling off the side of a cliff; the main structure is still intact, but the parts not adding to its security naturally and easily fall away. This week, we sharply turn a corner into our new state, and the old state will feel very much in rear-view. The 5 numerology governing this year, has propelled our motivation for change and driven us toward experiences of freedom. This week, we will see the meaning of these experiences coalesce, and get a stronger image of our new destination, and the plan to get there.
This week, we’ll see the options before us. Throughout March, we have clarified and revised the direction in which we are going. As we move forward, we’ll find that our definitions, our desires, goals and connection to our emotional being will undergo profound change, for we are making room for a new state of being. The Mercury Retrograde is not yet over; we are still undergoing adjustments and correction before we fully immerse ourselves in a plan, let alone a new reality. But what’s changed is our awareness. Our vision of the new road ahead is more complete. Excitement and an “I can” attitude is building. Once Mercury turns direct on April 4th, we will feel even more capable and more sure of where we are going.
The opposite extreme of clarity is confusion, a typical state during a retrograde. If you find yourself in the camp of not knowing where you are going, what you are doing and even what you want, this is a normal part of Mercury’s lessons. It’s okay to exist in this state of confusion- give over to the not knowing, rather than trying to resist it or force information to come to you. Lay all your potential directions in front of you without the pressure to choose, just dance with them and see which feels like the strongest partner- the one that moves with you and for you, rather than against you. No one likes to have their toes stepped on or have too strong a leader. It is always about achieving an easy give and take, especially with yourself.
